5-Day Dubai Holiday
Departs Nairobi · Mombasa

Doha has grown fast, but it hasn't lost its character. This five-day holiday shows you both sides of Qatar: the restored souqs and dhow harbour of the old city, the striking museums and waterfront developments of the new one, and the silent dunes that roll down to the sea in the south.
Day two is a city tour along the Corniche, Doha's seven-kilometre waterfront promenade, with views across the bay to the skyline. You explore Souq Waqif, a maze of spice, perfume and textile shops, then visit Katara Cultural Village, with its amphitheatre, galleries and mosques. On day three, a 4x4 takes you into the desert for dune bashing, a camel ride and a visit to Khor Al Adaid, the Inland Sea, where the dunes meet the water, ending with a barbecue.
Day four takes you to The Pearl-Qatar, an artificial island of marinas and cafés, and to the Museum of Islamic Art, a landmark building on the waterfront that holds one of the world's finest collections of its kind. You finish at Villaggio Mall, with its Venetian-style canal.
Doha is compact, so tours are relaxed and you have plenty of free time.
Land at Hamad International Airport, clear immigration and meet your driver for the private transfer to your 4-star hotel, usually around half an hour. Check in and relax after the journey. In the evening, take a taxi to the Corniche for a walk along the bay as the skyline lights up, or keep it simple with dinner near the hotel. Overnight in Doha.
After breakfast, start your city tour along the Corniche, with photo stops overlooking the bay and the dhow harbour. Explore Souq Waqif, where alleys of spice, perfume, textile and falcon shops have been restored in traditional style. Continue to Katara Cultural Village to see its amphitheatre, galleries, colourful mosque and pigeon towers, with time for coffee by the beach. Overnight in Doha.
A free morning. In the early afternoon, a 4x4 collects you for the drive south into the desert. After the tyres are let down, enjoy dune bashing over the sand, a short camel ride and a stop at Khor Al Adaid, the Inland Sea, where the dunes meet the water close to the Saudi border. Watch the sunset, then enjoy a barbecue before returning to Doha in the evening. Overnight in Doha.
Start at The Pearl-Qatar, an artificial island of marinas, boutiques and cafés, then visit the Museum of Islamic Art, its geometric building standing on its own island on the waterfront, with galleries of manuscripts, ceramics, metalwork and textiles. Finish at Villaggio Mall, where you can shop or take a gondola ride along the indoor canal. Overnight in Doha.
Breakfast at the hotel and some free time for last-minute shopping, perhaps for dates, perfume or spices from Souq Waqif. Check out at the hotel's usual time. Your driver collects you for the private transfer to Hamad International Airport, arriving around three hours before your flight. The airport itself is worth some time, with its shops, gardens and art. Safe travels home.

Qatar's entry rules for Kenyan passport holders have changed several times in recent years, and different sources still disagree. That's why this package includes visa assistance: we check the official requirement for your passport at the time of booking and, if a visa or entry authorisation is needed, we handle the application for you. Your passport should be valid for at least six months.
Khor Al Adaid, known as the Inland Sea, is a tidal inlet in south-eastern Qatar where large sand dunes run straight down to the water, on the border with Saudi Arabia. It can only be reached by 4x4 across the dunes, which is why it's part of the desert safari. It's a protected natural reserve and one of Qatar's most striking landscapes.
A direct flight from Nairobi to Doha takes around five and a half hours. From Mombasa, routings may connect via Nairobi or another hub. Doha is in the same time zone as Kenya, so there is no jet lag to worry about, and evening arrivals still leave you fresh for the next day's tour.
Yes. Doha is safe and easy to get around, and children usually love the desert safari, the gondolas at Villaggio and the waterfront parks. The museums run family-friendly exhibitions, and many hotels have pools. Tell us the ages of your children so we can arrange suitable rooms and check child rates for tours.
