6-Day Egypt Tour with Nile Cruise
The pyramids, Luxor's temples, the Valley of the Kings and Abu Simbel in six days, with two nights in Cairo and a three-night Nile cruise on full board.

Egypt combines the Pyramids of Giza, the Grand Egyptian Museum and a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan, about five hours by air from Nairobi. Kenyans need a visa in advance.
Egypt is the trip of a lifetime for history lovers: the Pyramids of Giza, Tutankhamun's treasures and a slow cruise down the Nile past temples that are thousands of years old, all about five hours by air from Nairobi. A first visit usually pairs Cairo and Giza with a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan, with an optional Red Sea beach finish.
Nowhere else has this much ancient history standing in the open. Egypt also got a major new reason to go in November 2025, when the Grand Egyptian Museum opened fully beside the pyramids. It displays the complete collection from Tutankhamun's tomb, more than 5,000 objects, together for the first time.
October to April is the most comfortable time, with warm days and cool nights; December to February is peak season. From May to September, Luxor and Aswan regularly pass 40°C, so sightseeing starts at dawn. Nile cruises run all year.
From Nairobi: EgyptAir flies non-stop to Cairo in about five hours.
From Mombasa: connect via Nairobi or another hub.
Within Egypt, Cairo connects to Luxor and Aswan by short domestic flights or the overnight sleeper train.

Yes. Kenyan passport holders need an Egyptian visa arranged before travel, usually through the Egyptian Embassy in Nairobi, because Kenya hasn't appeared on the visa-on-arrival or e-visa eligibility lists we've checked. Allow time for processing, and carry your yellow fever certificate, which Egypt requires from travellers arriving from Kenya. Confirm current rules before you travel.
EgyptAir flies non-stop from Nairobi to Cairo in about five hours. Egypt is one hour behind Kenya in winter and on the same time during its summer daylight-saving period. From Mombasa, you connect through Nairobi or another hub, so allow for a longer travel day.
Yes. The Grand Egyptian Museum near the Giza pyramids opened fully to the public in November 2025. Its highlight is the complete collection from Tutankhamun's tomb, more than 5,000 objects shown together for the first time, alongside a colossal statue of Ramesses II and Khufu's ancient boat. Allow at least half a day for your visit.
Seven to ten days is ideal for a first trip. Spend two or three nights in Cairo for the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, then take a three- or four-night Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan, with a day for Abu Simbel. Add three or four nights on the Red Sea if you want beach time at the end.
October to April is the most comfortable time, with warm days and cool nights, and December to February is peak season. From May to September, temperatures in Luxor and Aswan regularly pass 40°C, so sightseeing starts at dawn and pauses at midday. Nile cruises run all year, and summer often brings lower prices.
Yes. It's the easiest way to see Upper Egypt. A three- or four-night cruise between Luxor and Aswan moves while you eat, sleep or relax on deck, and stops at temples such as Edfu and Kom Ombo along the way, with guided visits included on most itineraries. It saves hotel changes and long road journeys.
